Got pics...?

Well....fired off a note to stan at stans headers. He's gonna cobble up a 4-1 w/1.25" inlets, and a 2 1/8" OD outlet. According to Vance and Hines, the muffler INLET is 2 1/8 ID. He said he'd send pic and price....so we'll see.

Well.....after not hearing from Stan at stans headers, I went ahead and spent couple days (well...parts of couple days) in the garage.
As some may recall...had a "bike vs. mailbox" incident awhile back. This was the result:


So...cobbled around with some exhaust tubing from the muffler shop and got started...


That was early work....hadda have a ringer (my brother) come in and show me how to weld! So....played and cut and cussed and stomped and threw stuff, you know....quality time! BUT!.....got a collector together and welded on and hung the pipe tonite. BTW....anyone ELSE hate that job????

So....doesnt look TOO bad, does it? Still needs cleaned up and painted, but its almost 1100 p.m. and I need a shower and a few (dozen!) beers! I can live with it til I hit lottery an get fancy new V&H or Kerker....:laugh: :whistle:
p.s......Big thanks to all for passing EBay tips and turning me on to pipes for trade and such...

Smooth it out, paint..good as new! No one will know unless you tell on yourself!

but you did a very nice job making a collector, hell i wouldnt be able to tell the difference unless you told me.

Thanks...can't say it's a job I'd wanna do again, but hey....saving 300 bucks sure sounded good!

...and most wouldn't touch a damaged exhaust for sale, to fix like you did. Nice work there.

Now if you could go into production, and make systems for our bikes. "If you build it, they will buy" All we have here in the US is MAC.

that dont look so bad,hell it looks like it fits better than most of the brand new vance and hines headers ive had experiance with!
