I have 3 bikes in my garage as well... One is merely a frame and parts ('77 KZ1000A) for a potential future project. The other 2 are- '76 KZ900B1's (1 stock and her 'modified' big brother, which is a runnng rider but yet an ongoing project). My project bike is a running rider with a certain vision in mind, but at a standstill because of current projects that are slightly higher on the important to-do list LOL. I've managed a cpl rides lately on fairly decent days (still damm COLD here in the So Cal mtns). Every year I keep saying I'm gonna upgrade Cracklin' Rosie over to a Dyna ignition one of these years for her birthday... but she keeps purrin' like a kitten with plenty of 'pep in her step'!...so why alter a good thing? Good luck to you on your projects.
