Grand Junction Up the Mesa down to Ceder Ridge , Delta then home. About every road condition you would want to ride About 5000 foot lift.and right now colors are just showing a hint of change. A couple weeks or so It will be in full glory. Now is the time to drag up the boat and start doing the cruise the slow way.Catch some rainbows to smoke

My Grandfather was from Paonia, we use to spend our summers at a log cabin on a huge spread over in Erickson Springs,
no electric and no phone.
They were my best memories as a yute , it has really changed over the years, very built up. :(

Back then Crested Butte was just a small hippy town with a dirt road and a bar called the Grub Steak that had great Mexican food

I would like to make it to Paonia's Cherry festival next year, Crested Butte too but I think the road from Erickson Springs through Lost Lake to the Butte is still gravel,

Nothing stays the same pard. If you find a place equal to what was, good luck trying to keep it a secret!! I like Paonia and McClures pass up to Marble and around to Carbondale, Its where I lived while working in Aspen over the years. Give a Haller when You come out!! We can do some rocky mountain ridge runnin!! Not a single rock here they're all married and have a very large family.

Thanks man , I have to head down to AZ next June with the trailered bikes to work on my Moms house then my wife is flying down and we will be headed up for 5 days of camping and riding in CO :woohoo:

We need to find a camping spot around 7-8000 ft that we can pull off 4 - 250 + - loops from.

I like that 65 Mesa road B) Black Canyon Is neat, I have ridden Independence pass up to Aspen before that was cool

Twin Lakes to Carbondale looks like a fun ride.

I wish that road from Erickson Springs to Crested Butte was paved it would help me make a choice.

Maybe we do a big loop and ruff it with the small tent, or a couple overnights who knows, we have all Winter to think about it

Geez - mountains, cool little western mountain towns, twisting roads, clear rushing water, trout fishing, aspens and pines, the scenery....I am soooooo envious!!!

Thanks for cruelly reminding me of how much flat and boring prairie life SUCKS THE BAG!!!!!!
