Boy this brings back a lot of good memories of the area from the late late 80's early 90's! I used to take my 74 Z and thereafter my FJ1200 out in that area. Use to plan day trips from Taylor out to the Tecumseh / Clinton / Manchester / Irish Hills area. Nice old mill on the river in Manchester with a nice restaurant overlooking it from the other side of the river. Took my girlfriend there one time. Ever so briefly cracked a ton with her on the back of the FJ.  Made it out all the way to Hillsdale one time. Really liked the college campus out there. I usually passed through U of M Ann Arbor on the way back on those trips. Usually chose a destination, got there, ate a local lunch and headed back. Seeing you your plan this for this ride, for the first time time in the 28 years it makes me wish I could be be back in Michigan. But only for the ride. Enjoy it. One of the nicest area and little towns I have experienced anywhere in the U.S.

Ha ha.About 8 years ago I re built the water gates for the old mill you speak of.3 inch thick white oak timbers, with 10x10 main beam all through bolted.  3ft wide and 15 ft tall each. We built a huge concrete diversion with sandbags and had a crane drop em in.Ive rode over a thousand bulls, but my balls quivered working down there with 12ft of water 6ft away from you.We had a diver on standby if on of us fell in.All that for a paycheck hahahaha.
who said something about polishing?

Ole Dave drug me out of my hiding spot and blew the dust off me and brought this thread to my attention. I'm down with this ride, have to get a scoot together! I haven't touched one of my own bikes in over 3 years, walk past 2 of them every day with desire but no time. Needed something like this to poke this hibernating bear. Now, which one, 76 Ltd or the 75 Z1, both a little exotic but done tastefully, or at least the vision in my mind is tasteful!  lol  Would love to bring a turbo bike up and if time permits it may be.

I must say  Damn thats thats one funky sweet mean street machine Les! I will now admit I have a 60x40 ( wedding/circus tent ) for when we have a large pig roast here.I can have this set up for shade, or god forbid H2O.I can have my spray room which is 24x40 cleared out for anyone who needs to address any mechanical issues ,those flipping gremlins sneak in after you have checked everything.I am still liking early June.

Honestly, even with no bike or tow rig I'll make the trip, been 4 years next month since I went to work for myself and have yet to take a vacation!

I was 160 lbs when I started my company. A year later I got down to 130 lbs from over working and not enough sleep from stress. It is hard to cut out time for yourself  for sure.Im 6 years on my own now up to 155 and I plan on getting scolded by the wife this year for not getting anything done on the weekends but wheelies. hahahaha       I'm open 2nd week in June- through all of July.    Might have to come up with some cool "who rode the farthest" etc  fundiddlys
