From Wikipedia:
"Stone is a 1974 Australian biker film written, directed and produced by Sandy Harbutt. It was a low budget movie by company Hedon Productions
Police officer Stone goes undercover with the Gravediggers outlaw motorcycle gang, to find out who is murdering their members, one by one.
The film stars Ken Shorter and features Rebecca Gilling, Bill Hunter and Helen Morse. The film's soundtrack was composed by Billy Green and featured some members of his group Sanctuary. Motorcycles featured include the legendary Kawasaki Z1(900). Stone initially rides a Norton.
The promotional trailer Video on YouTube features narration by radio and media personality John Laws. The film was featured in the documentary, Not Quite Hollywood, in which Quentin Tarantino enthuses about his admiration for the film."
Stone has a huge cult following among vintage motorcycle enthusiasts in Australia, complete with Stone rally's. Like any cult classic, a foundation of interest in some part of the production helps generate interest. In our case, it's Z-1's.
Whitehorse Gear is offering Stone in NTSC format (compatible with U.S. TV's) for $17.49, 30% off the regular price. Shipping in CONUS is $4.98.

For me MAD MAX the Australian cult-classic movie, led me to the Zeds as i was 15 and rode my first 50 ccm bike.
I was amazed from the style of Z1 bikes and the movie too.
In 1995 i bought an US imported Z1B and do the maximum numbers of steet legal mods i can do at this time.
The regulations concerning this are very strictly here in Germany, not like in the USA, build what you can do with your bar hands.
Now the time has change and the street legal regulations are like, build it,we check it and you pay for it!
It´s a gap in the market = printing billions of Euros for the responsible authorities. Money cure and legalized everything!
Stone - the 1974 Australian cult-classic movie, i have never heard about it,(just downloading it,shame on me).
Thanks for sharing this info.

I have a 1981 GPz550 because of that movie.
It even has a one-piece, 4-into-1 exhaust like some of the ones in Mad Max. I also may have tried to do the lock-the-front-brake-and-spin-the-back-tire thing.
