I just got my self a Z400 -R1 from 1982. This seems to be a wierd model that for many search engines and manuals does not exist. Its insanly hard to find info about it.
However, rather than the perfect straight frame from the eariler versions this seems to have a LTD frame.
Do you guys have any ideas what to do with it? I´m planing to build a budget scrambler but have no clue how to make the seat look good. If i mount a seat folowing the frame it will bend upwards in a wierd angle, or is it?
Have any of you solved it neatly?
Here is some pictures of my bike, see what I mean with the frame?

The Z400 R series lasted for two years (1982-83) and was only marketed in Europe, The 1982 model (Z400-R1) had a surprisingly small production run of 400 units and I am unable to determine how many 1983 (Z400-R2) units were produced. The service manual is the same as the Z400-H models. If it was all there when you received the motorcycle, it might be fun to restore.

Oh wow! Thats cool, so its kind of rare
Well its somewhat complete, But I think it could be costly to rebuild to standard spec. I think it could get a good life as a scrabler or cafe racer now.
