Hey guys,,I've looked at some of the most polished, sweet imacculate. Bikes I've ever seen on KZ..can any of you give me any tips as to bringing back my parts ,to a mirror shine as I see so often....type of Polish,or methods of making polished aluminum shine...thx for any help..

How about posting a couple pictures of the parts you want to polish..

Hey Pat,
Well, if your bike is whole still and running and you just wanna spruce it up a bit. You can achieve some pretty good results with under $30 of supplies from Home Depot or whatever local home hardware store you have.
Here's an example of what I did with my KZ550a over the course of a day in the garage:

My first bike was a new ,kz 550/...left over....I think it was 82 or 83....thx very informative... Pat

My technique...
-Remove part and wash.
-Use DA palm sander with 220 grit sandpaper to remove corrosion
-Use stainless steel wire wheel in a Dremel to get nooks and crannies and/or some hand sanding
-Use SISAL buffing wheel and BLACK cutting compound to polish part. This stuff will bring the shine up to that similar or above the OEM finish.
-For a mirror polished look you need to then move to a stitched wheel and white/red compound. I don't bother with this but nothing stopping you if you want the chrome look.
