What is good price for non-running 79 KZ1000 shaft

I understand $1000 is too much. Is $500 a good deal?
I found some add, guy wants 1000.
Just gas to get it will cost me $100 or more.

Is this one to keep or to flip?

I paid 650 but it was all there. Ran before tear down. R

Partner got one for $500 of craigslist 79 it ran and drove. Was $800 asking, $500 cash took it.
He kept and sold stuff already. Threw the frame to the curb for scrap.
I took the front end and wheels. Which were moved to the FOR SALE page.
I did not want to cross any lines of demarcation!
I seem to be critiqued often for my posts?
