I would go with highlights as on the left. My bike came with period Lesters, but they really didn't look good IMO with that all black look, I changed them out any way, because I didn't want the 16" rear, but if I'd kept them I would have made changes to liven them up some.

I painted mine the same color as the bike (green) and highlighted the ribs (left)

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

I also vote for the left (highlighted) wheels. I have sets of Enkei's and Lester's and I think the Lester's look nice.
