Bloody beautiful. I like original styles but the special builds like this are my choice. Well done
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, getting new/ refurbished 83-84 motor soon
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as above)

Beautiful build....... but a little too much orange for me.
Looking at the before photo and the body parts I think of it as a Z1 instead of a KZ900.
Waiting for details on the motor!

BOTM doesn't need to be everyone's taste, and it is good when something a little controversial comes along!

Personally nothing more boring to me than lines of identical bolt standard bikes like seen at stafford bike show, I bet even their owner's get them mixed up..

I like this BOTM thread :)
1980 Gpz550 D1, 1981 GPz550 D1. 1982 GPz750R1. 1983 z1000R R2. all four aces

I was thinking Ted might reply to this. As I understand the motor is mostly stock with a 998 kit and Mikuni 34mm flat slides.
It was built by a builder in Washington State.. It pulls really strong from the bottom to redline.
