Well deserved Ed!
like Joe said it really brings back fond memories B)
I had one of the first Kz650 Customs in Chicago, put my money down in 76 and had to wait ....and wait...
All Winter I was talking trash with my supervisor who had his GS 750 on order, that was a long Winter
When it finally came in they had the blue one that I ordered and a silver one , the guy that got the silver one first tried to pull a switch on me and when that didn't work he tried to grease me a hundred bucks to trade him,
No way!
I loved that bike , sadly I was young and stupid and got into a lot of trouble , I ended up selling it in 79 , at the time it was probably a good idea.
It is great to see such a well cared for machine that is still on the road, hats off to you, I hope some day that I will be able to see it in person.
By the way My supervisor got his GS right around the same time I got my bike so we went out on a fresh factory road at lunch time and I kicked his ass

It did it to stock CB 750's too ;)
I rode with a bunch of 900's and 1000's and kept up pretty well until we really got cookin.
I wasn't passing any body but they couldn't shake me either, everyone had a lot of respect for that bike.
A buddy had a 74 900 that was totally stock and insanely fast back then, that one forget about it,
to this day it was the fastest thing I have ever ridden, of course I haven't rode on anything newer then mid 80's  besides big twins

The GS750 was a nice motorcycle too, but had the Suzuki electrics problems of the time. I still like the KZ650s, but the GS750 was and is a very desirable motorcycle if one likes 70s models. Whole different beast, the KZ650 was small, the GS750 built almost the size of the GS1000. There are advantages both ways, but I would not mind owning a GS750 still to this day, but those electrics suck.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Maybe that's why you don't see them around. The CB 750 was a dog. Like riding a log in the turns, slow and break downs were costly. Honda lived on that design as long as they could. I'd be cruising on the FWY, one would come up then back off like the Hogs of today. They don't want any part of Bossie. :woohoo: The legend lives on. B)

Congrats Ed. I have to say part of the reason i kept my 650 nearly stock was because of your bike.

Rare rare rare to see a bike of that vintage still that pristine and ridden. While modded bikes are cool and fun to develop, I always love to see well looked after stockers that remind us where it all started.
Congrats!
