For cleaning electrical contacts I recommend using contact cleaner. Deoxit works great. Radio Shack and some other places carry it. Ed

These neutral/clutch/sidestand ignition interlocks usually get removed, the sidestand switch in particular can cause problems.
Maybe as a diagnostic, try temporarily disconnecting this safety interlock and see if it sorts your problem. It is a simple AND logic switch that needs all three sensors 'on' to conduct the ignition current.
I'd rather go without this safety feature, then risk a breakdown, or even worse the engine cutting out when banked over in a tight bend.

I'd bypass them all. More to go wrong. Besides, if a guy has a habit of not putting the kick stand up, pulling in the clutch, or being sure it's in neutral, he has no business on a bike. A prescription for disaster.
