Picked this gem up for only $600. Just gotta a few problems with the electrical(lights, stator, battery, shorts etc) and that's it. Here is some info about it and a quick video.

Dynojet Stage 3 jet klt. V&H 4-1 exhaust, K&N pod air filters, Dyna-S electronic ignition, Accel coils, drag bars, and a 130/80-18 in the rear. Everything else is bone stock! She sound good! B)

Thanks man! It definitely has some extra "oomph" to it in comparison to an all stock 650. It's a shame that people don't care much for these bikes anymore...

Nice bike, but revving the piss out of it in neutral is a sure fire way to damage the engine. Why do people do that ?? Of course, if you really feel the urge to do that, here's how the pros do it: Ed

70% of the video I am not revving above 3k rpm, just slightly giving it gas,,. I only blipped it to 9k one time, and that is well within the KZ650's capabilities. I was by no means "revving the piss out of it"... Thanks, it is a nice bike, I really enjoy the nostalgia of the bike.

Actually, revving it up to 9k in neutral IS revving the piss out of it. All kidding aside, revving it near or to redline with no load isn't good for it. Running it up to the 9k redline with the bike moving is a different story, but don't go much past 9k if you want the engine to stay healthy. Ed

Thanks.. I'll definitely be sure to NOT do that again. My intention wasn't to hurt it, just to quickly blip it to it's limit.... but now I know that is something I shouldn't do. I generally never go above 8000 rpm when riding... No need for it, because at that speed I am going plenty fast...
