Tank's dented, offer him $10! CASH!
Doesnt exactly look bad, if it runs, drives and seems in order with docs give him the $1500 he really wants for it

I would be worried about the engine being shot. Sucking crap in through those unfiltered velocity stacks cannot be good for the rings and cylinder walls. Ed

Jump on it. It will probably need work judging by fact the front fender is on backwards.
When I got mine it had the same and more problems.

Whole thing looks like it's sitting a bit low..........agree with Ed on the velocity stacks letting in a load of garbage.......so shot shocks, dented tank, possible motor damage $750 and a lotta lotta work

How many miles and what are your intentions...continue to thrash the bike or semi-restore it?

Hmmm...if you want to go back to the original analog FI, then the good news is that all those bits are readily available and aren't all that expensive...few folks want them. The bad news is that if he is running carbs then he has either replaced the head or plugged the FI ports...either way, you'll need to get a replacement head (the original with open FI ports) or...the easy solution is just run it with carbs. This is a significant deviation from a restoration. You really need to take a peek at the petcock as on the original KZ1100-B1 tank, the petcock is poorly placed to accommodate easy hook-ups to carbs. Rephrased, the petcock bumps into the carbs. There are fixes though; the current owner may have replaced the tank with the later B2 tank, which allows easy fuel-line access to swapping to carbs from FI.
23,000 is low for this bike, although some former owners will state that the motor may be toast at that mileage.
