This is for a jet ski. But I'm wondering if it could work and if it would be awesome. I'm asking about it now. If it's for a 2 stroke ski then it might not work.

Thoughts?

That's what the new H2 has. 200 HP off the show room floor. They make more sense than a turbo. Spins only as fast as the RPMs. Back in the day guys were launching themselves off cliffs because the boost came on at the wrong time.

An air pump is an air pump, that would be workable for a kz, probably easier to put that on a naked goldwing though.

That supercharger is old technology, the one on the new H2 is supposed to be an entirely new design,

Will it bolt on? Doubtful, will it work? An air pump is an airpump; it sucks in air (and fuel) compresses it and spits it out, if you could figure out a manifold and carb mount it would work.

On the other hand, lots more people do turbo setups, theyre easier and work fantastic when set up right (eliminate turbo lag) and dont require a belt drive and get the exhaust up from under the bike, fixing the ground clearance issues most kzs seem to have

I'm pretty sure the 2 stoke superchargers have different out put. They were built to regulate airflow more or less. Unlike on a 4 stoke where its purpose is too cram the air in. I could be wrong though

A turbo is much easier to tune/detune than a blower ;)

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

A machinist can build anything. That set up could be for a smaller displacement.
Back in the late 80's Jim Mangus, Experimented with a 2 stroke deisel top fuler engine. Made from a 4 cylinder Kaw. We took the exhaust cam out, it ran with 1 camshaft
Of course it was ran on Nitro. We had it down in Shreveport, LA. Made a couple of passes. Made it in to one of the dragbike magazines at the time.
We gave up on that one! I think the infamous Elmer Trett was the 1st guy to say WTF Jim? :silly:
I put this old Druin supercharger together on this KZ1000, it had an injector with electric fuel pump. Never could get this one going smooth enough to street drive.

Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY

Why not go from the crank shaft? Like I thought, it can be independent of the exhaust system. What's the Kaw system like?

Turbo=exhaust powered, supercharger= belt drive, superchargers and turbos do the same exact thing slightly different

Crank driven, very big and bulky, widens the engine quite a bit and like I said bulky.

Exhaust driven turbo z1, I believe this is jeff at Z1E's bike, nicely done, exhaust out of the way plenty of ground clearance (unlike virtually any dropped low 4 into 1 headered kz out there.
