79 MKII use your 32 bit machine - have said you need to run it on 32 bit machine a few times
It will work on your old machines !!
DONT LIKE THE GOOGLE DRIVE IDEA AT ALL - PLEASE DONT DO THAT !!!!
People read my posts - i keep saying 32 BIT
KEEP IT TO YOURSELVES ONCE YOU HAVE GOT IT - THATS ALL I ASK , THANKYOU -
JR - It will be fine on your laptop and probably a lot better so you can take it out to your bike when you are working on it ,
Mick  :)

Hello, this is bluej58's son. Thank for helping out my dad with this, I think this is really going to make his bike maintenance a lot easier. I unfortunately did not see that this was a 32 bit only application prior to the install, so I am a little stone walled at the moment.

I have a process that will allow you to install this application on a 64 bit machine. I will post the instructions here once I have tested and proved that the process works. Of course, getting your hands on a 32 bit machine is ideal, but to those who are not able to access another computer (and also want a free solution), i implore you to hang tight until I can prove this will work on 64 bit machines.

I will most likely get this done a week from now, as there are a lot of variables to test. Thanks again and I hope this might help out a few people!

Cheers.

As long as no one posts the bloody thing somewhere where every man and his dog can get it - i want it KEPT exclusive to the members who could be bothered to PM me - ok
Sounds like most people have spare 32 bit machines from feedback i have received , to use it on bluej's son so if anyone wants the 64 bit solution ,if it works, i would prefer they make the effort and PM you for it

My son Sam tells me it would take a Herculean effort to convert it to 64 so I think I see the trouble Kawasaki is having getting the info back up.
So we found an old laptop that was laying around here and all we have to do is dig a power supply and we should be in busyness ;)

Has anyone noticed that when you download the PDF diagrams, they overlay a "Kawasaki" header and footer that obscures the diagram itself? It's like the person who coded that up never actually looked at what it generated.

If they really wanted to help us out, they could have provided a link to download the entire diagram set for each model, instead of only providing a button for each individual diagram (and obscuring useful information with the header/footer).

What is missing is the part cross-reference. No longer can you tell what models a part fits - so you have to jump over to some of the other sites like partzilla to do this.

And don't forget the superseded part number information, which is now completely impossible to find. Even the parts catalog CD that Zephyrrider shared doesn't show superseded part numbers. So from my earlier example talking about washer 461F0600, it's still impossible to figure out that this obsolete part has been replaced by 461DA0600.

Many of the diagram illustrations have enough white space to fit under the header, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

That is a pain. There are still a few sites that show superseded numbers. Here's one:

Thanks Joe! That would be great if you could add this to the bug list.

There are 51,000 part diagrams, and 2,000,000 parts. The person who coded the PDF didn't look at this specific instance. It is now fixed.

my bike is still not listed on the kawasaki parts diagrams site. what about everyone else? I have an 81 kz550 LTD (kz550C)

I can use the kz550A diagrams for most things, but there are some parts specific to the LTD model.
