this year iv put on
- V&H exhaust
- Dyno-jet stage 3
- pod-filters (generic not-k&n)
- dyna coils 2.2ohm (grey)
- 530 chain/sprockets
so i guessing with all those parts i was maybe looking at about 95-110 hp? or like 30% increase? or am i way off, i havent riden the bike yet this year so ill know how it "feels" when i hit the road,
i know its pretty much impossible to tell my personal increase because i know it all depends on tune/compression/chain ratios/ etc.
thanks for all your help
also if anyone has done much boring on these 750's how far would you go/can you go? 20 over?
thanks again

What martin_csr says!!
"No replacement for displacement"....Learned that over 40 years ago when I was Drag Racing and for the most part....is a standard thought.Just means for the $$$ spent....You'll get more "HP" , its much easier and wiser to increase displacement Plus as 650ed says, tune may actually be worse with the set up you have.
Please dont shoot the messenger..,(s)...just saying...810 kit sounds very smart to me! :woohoo:

In that topic I linked, you might want to focus on the reply by Larry C. (larrycavan). I think he's from Cavanaugh Racing .

Some bolt in 83 GPz cams would be a nice addition. The thing you have to watch with 750's and cams is that Kawasaki played with base circle sizes on the 750 models. I can't tell you the exact sizes off the top of my head but probably one of the more avid 750 guys would perhaps have those specs.
In a nutshell, what that means is valve work might be required when cams are swapped from one 750 model to the next.
Next step is the 810cc piston kit. In combination with the other bolt on / drop in mods, the bike's performance is boosted pretty well over stock. For a really noticable difference, it take the full combination to make a remarkable mid size bike....

to extract real power from your bike, lumpier cams, plus the 810 kit with compression increase is your best power-adder, but expect to move to the premium pump. Also modifying the backer plate behind the magnetic pickup coil to get a few more degrees of timing is helpful. I remember a period build, when the magazines took a stock KZ550, put on the pipe, pods, and jetting, and promptly lost 2 hp on the dyno, but helped the 1/4 mile ET because of weight reduction. When they put in the Champion Moriwaki cams and 610cc pistons, they got a massive increase - 63 hp on the dyno fron 44hp.
Here's a copy of the original dyno-test on this bike, kind of shows you the powerband -
My wife asked me if I still loved her - I said "Honey, I love you more than new carburetor boots ! "
