Good info and handsome bikes! :cheer:

Just a reminder that threads such as this one that are originated in Chit-Chat are purged on a weekly basis, whereby the thread is deleted in its entirety, and "poof" all the posts and pictures vanish.

As noted in the listing of forums:

Non-bike related
Chit Chat
This is an off-topic area, as we can't talk about bikes all the time ;-). Just remember that this forum is subject to the same rules as the other forums. It will be pruned on a weekly basis.

In order to preserve the thread, it is being moved to the Bike Related forum, hopefully with approval of all participants in the thread.

Good Fortune! :)

Here is my ELRR ('82 GPz750)... I've had this one since 2007 but it didn't look like this when I got it :)
I also had a 1983 GPZ550 in college and loved it.

I had a 1981 GPZ550 and 1982 GPZ1100 both bought new, and a 1983 GPZ750 bought used. I liked them all. The GPZ550 was just a little too small for a big guy though, so that was when the GPZ1100 was bought. I still dream I found it sitting back in the garage and still have it. It was the best sportbike ever for long distance rides in
comfort, however as much as I loved it, it was really not all that great. First years of that J engine design was not kind to Kawasaki reputation for good reason. I'd think a guy much better off not riding and guys can joke all you like about guys with 3000 miles on a 1982 model, but you won't find a GPZ1100 with many miles that isn't worn out.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

...Great bikes, Guys! Love the photos, thanks ! :)

...Got some work to do on this '82 I picked up a year ago. Got one other in front of it before I get to it, though. So much to do, so little time.
