What woud you use for luggage! was created by Darkangel
I am stomped...as I am buying another KZ friday, and plan on keeping it original except for the electrical components. I would like to add some type of bags to the bike that would make it look decent. Here is a pic of the bike...I would like yawls opinion on what i should be looking for.

Sorry, Darkangel, for the unintentional "edit" to your above post. :pinch:
================================
Leather bags look cool, but often aren't fully waterproof.
Hard bags are more of a semi-permanent installation, and sometimes not so visually stimulating.
Supposed to be waterproof. Often a pita.
Throw-over soft bags are serviceable, and some brands are reasonably waterproof.
They're also quick and easy to install and remove.
With any of the bags -- especially throw-overs -- it helps to relocate the rear turn signals.
Examples of rear turn signals relocated onto a simple fabricated metal strip mounted to the tag bracket underneath the license plate.
Good Fortune!

If you have decent points to tie to, you can just stack bags on the seat behind you. Several waterproof bags out there. I like the Wolfman bags. Tie to the bike with Rok straps that can be even doubled up for more length if needed. I did the USA four corners tour twice and tied 140LBs of bags on the back of my seat.
Great thing is ride with them, take them off when you are done and no ugly luggage sitting empty on the bike.
