Got my new toy today. Made it to the tax office and got legal with State inspection then title transfer and tags. Came back home and put a brand new repro 1976ish KZ900 seat on it. Opened air screws a half round and she smoothed on out real nice. Runs great, gonna replace a few bolts here and there and then have some fun on it. Put 50 miles on it this evening just putting around.

Great looking bike! It seems like I remember seeing that one for sale on the bay or maybe CL???

Seems I live close to you, maybe we can go ride sometime....the more KZ's the better! That will make 5 people in this area I know of with KZ's including me.

Cool, I am actually about 30 minutes south of Houston, just outside of Seabrook/Kemah area.

Took this picture before I repainted muffler. Had to heat the muffler and got it off. Stripped it, repainted it. I sanded the header end clean and inside the muffler then put a little antiseize on it afterwards. Hammered the baffle out after soaking it and ordered a new 2" Kerker baffle. It does sound mean without the baffle in it, runs good too. Put new tailpanel and gauge mount rubbers also. I have the more correct spark plug wire ends with wires coming already. Started to get black wires, but got new Accel one's coming. These Accels are 8.8 and it does already have Accel coils.
