we should scan the flags on both sides and do a shirt/fabric piece/ garage flag/ when they are done.....sell em at a cost to ourselves that at least covers the screenprint and final product choice...poster?

Second snow of the season here in Colorado this morning...another 1-3 inches expected by tomorrow morning. Snows already flying out here along the Front Range, no telling what's going on up in Canada. We'll have to coordinate with our friends up north to see how and when the flag goes through Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I'll start trying to gather the troops on this leg and see when the earliest they're willing to try and start south to NM. Glad we're looking at taking a break during the winter months so the guys in Montana and Wyoming won't feel obligated to tell me where to stick the flag![/quote]

Just looking at the picture makes want to run and hide.......down in Texas!
I think I have the snowbird thing figured out backwards. The past two years I spent winter in WI and a good portion of the summer in NM. Gotta turn this around.

Hey Tri
Wild ass idea, probably med induced.
How about one of the flags goes on original route North, And 2nd Green flag heads toward warm weather.
Then we let them race for states covered and distance covered.
In the spring have them merge back together to finish the Relay

There's a couple of ideas worth discussing.
I always thought a finish on the left coast would be cool. Kind of a sea to shining sea thing.
A finish in the mid-west would allow more riders to travel to the finish location for a celebration and PARTY!! We might start discussion/planning for that! A campground friendly to bikers would be a good spot. A rally weekend with the arrival of the flag as the focus. I know a good spot in Wisconsin. :cheer:

I like this idea a lot! All three, Tee shirts, garage flags and posters. Can they all be printed with the same screens? I'll reach out to a friend who's in the business and get an idea of the costs. Maybe a composite picture on the poster of the participants pictures taken from the ride reports. We have lots of time to think, discuss, plan.

A cold front hit Oklahoma yesterday. It's in the 30's now and will be for a few days. Flag is still in Houston. We have plenty of warm days left for riding. Since I ride year round, warm for me is cold for someone else. I think the flag will keep moving until the ice comes.

yes for sure...ride as is safe for as long as you guys can...really that ads to the story a lot

i did not mean to get this off track or high jack...i just was wondering if we could do some creative stuff with the flags/flags if folks have black ice and snow banks for 60 days

but for sure those who can and want to should get it next and so on until there is no way...and if it sits till the thaw then that is the way it is and should be to give those next in line when it thaws first crack at the plan as it was orig .....

i do think a scanner and print or poster shirt package which we pay off by buying them from ourselves would be super cool.....do we own or need to own any rights to this story/ merchandise/ goofy but just thoughts???
