So what is the deal for the Canadadians? It seems that we are kind of waiting on us for the relay to be finalized. Like I have said, my KZ won't be in service this year, but I am totally down with riding alongside somebody for Timmies stops or is it McDonalds now? Anyways, who will I be riding with this summer?

Not I, I'm gonna be riding down to Maine somewhere to pick up the flag, then bringing it up and mailing it to the next guy in the south.

OK, I am hoping to be part of this but am kind of confused. As far as I can tell, you could ride west, and meet me and/or MARK1122 in QC or something and have us pass the torch somewhere west, but it seems there are several legs going all over the place. Just so I am clear, why are we not merging the legs together and instead of going all over the place having one long leg across the continent?

Am I being as dumb as my friends say?

Hi 9am53, here is a map that may give you an idea with the flow of the legs. It has some time lines in it but not realistic. This map is out dated by a two or three months (KZRage for example has an update route for the second leg and there are many more riders now).

This maps is for of a suggestion than anything else. Each area will do what is best for them. The reason there are different legs (East leg, second leg and so forth) is to make it manageable. Not saying this is an ideal game plan but it what was generally accepted for lack of any other offered. The token will travel west but move North, South, North South pattern as id progress Westerly. Hope the map helps. The blue dots on the map are artificial and off points about mid-way between riders. Not in reality as you read the different leg threads you will see what each group of riders are planning and where.

Yeah, I plan on taking it to Cape Spear, so I'm already gonna have a couple thousand km under my belt. Gonna be hard to make it there since I may be living in NS in a few weeks, but I really want the flag to make it to Cape Spear.

I'm gonna try to get the few KZ's I know of involved in the run from St. John's to Cape Spear, shouldn't be hard since its only 20km, but it'd be nice to have a few there. If anyone doesn't know where Cape Spear is, here's a picture:

Just posted this in the Leg 2 post for Southern Ontario riders.
Will probably need to update it closer to the time the flags get to our area:

I have an idea for a route for the Southern Ontario members:

- TeK9iNe - Niagara
- Drooz - Mississauga
- Mopguy - Toronto
- Mark1122 - Cobourg
- 9AM53 - Moscow
- jeffasaki - North Bay
- rstnick - Sutton
- M357.5 - Owen Sound
- JR -Woodstock
- Jack - London
- cregmanz1 - Winnipeg
- Killman - Victoria

maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=Niagara+Falls,...q=Woo&mra=ps&t=m&z=7

North Bay is a bit of a haul, although we'd meet up half way somewhere.
Maybe some more KZ riders will join in in the area.
I've sent out messages to all the KZ owners in Ontario, some who are currently not members of KZR.

Victoria and Winnipeg have been added to include our Western Canadian riders.
They will actually hook up with others further out West.

I'm in Woodstock so could do a short leg somewhere. Stratford to London or to Hamilton etc......all depending on which direction the token goes and sssuming that the old beast fires up again in about a months time and lives to run for another year.

Rob, if you have an email address for me it's probably out of date.

Im thinking
can you smell the 2 stroke oil burning?
Id like to leave from north bay and hook up with some one on my way down south
spend a night
ride further south
spend a night
ride more
I have family in burlington and beamsville
I have no doubts that my old 1000 will make it
I am willing to ride as far south as windsor
if 9am53 wants to bring the flag up here that would be fine
if you wanna mail it up and have me bring it down that would be fine
i wouldnt need to be put up
just a motel is fine for me
unless there might be some kinda bike thing happening
or event
lets take a look at dates and places
see what going on
maybe we can get on tv or published while we do this

I'd be interested in extending the ride to Victoria. Might as well take it to the furthest Southwest part of Canada. Just seems right to represent both coasts! :)
