How long have you owned you z/kz?

I bought my C2 March 1984, when I was in High School so that makes it 28 years.
Bought it off a buddy I had known since Kindergarden.

Shortly after I bought her:

Thanks Ron, that collection you have there is impressive. I didnt think you liked the LTD's. Do you guys remember the showroom back then? I mean they had so many cool models to chose from. I looked at them all, Z1R's MKII's even the shaftie. It just seems that there are not so many choices now. I remember I had to get a loan and interest rates were high then, Jimmy Carter years. And NO test rides then at the dealer we had back then, at least not for the LTD that I wanted. If I could go back now I think I would have bought the MKII just because they are so rare now. But at the time my heart was set on the LTD. Still love it. Ahh the memories....

OH MY LORD where do i get one of those ferrings that wraps around the front like that?

You could say i have owned mine for 4 years but really only 2.. i knew it was mine when i saw our mechanic tearing parts off of it for my dad's bike. best damn 2 years EVER!!

After owning it a whole 6 months i think, this was the first time i had it running good.

I got mine in 81 with 8500 miles on it.
She replaced my 77 650 custom I had to sell after 2 years of hell raising.

The bottom pic is present day.





She been sitting for the last 20 years and I'm really enjoying getting back into it.
