ZX14R is new for 2012. You had one and got rid of it already. :) 2012 raised the CCs about 100cc over the 2011 and previous that were simply ZX14 with no R. Dyno test show the 12 is 30hp up over the 11 and as much as 50hp at certain RPMs. Just to set the record straight, not that it matters, but the ZX14R for 2012 is pretty darn impressive stock. No need to mod it definately although 99% will be ruined within 2 weeks just like every other motorcycle. KZ650 was rated at 64hp and I doubt it had 50 at the rear wheel in the real world, the ZX14R is tested at 195 rear wheel HP stock, like 3x a KZ1000 and 4x a KZ650. Even if style is not all that classic like the KZs, they have come lightyears ahead of our old KZs in the engine dept on all the new offerings. Fuel injection vs carbs is same as the old electronic ignition vs points debate. No comparison. I'd cry a hundred years if I sold my old KZs but they really ain't doing me any good any more. :P

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
