Just curious how many have better half's that ride out there. When I bought the KZ, she said where is my back rest and of course my response was "not gonna happen on this bike". So she said fine, and decided she was going to learn to ride. She started shopping and found a bike she wanted. Our anniversary was a few days ago, and guess what she got!!! She said she wanted something shinny.. lol I think this qualifies right?
I tried to get her on a Vulcan, but this bike fit her really well, and well... its her bike so.
Yesterday was her first lesson and she did pretty well. Getting ready to head out for day two. Safety course next week and then her test.. Hell, I better get my bike done, or I will be sitting my ass home.. lol

Shadow 750?
My wife rides with me, not on her own bike. She likes the sightseeing portion of the ride, and that is more safely done from the back.
I picked up a backrest for my KZ just for her

Yep, my wife has had her motorcycle endorsement since high school. It was one of the things that attracted me all those years ago.
That motorcycle safety course is worth every penny. Especially to a new rider. I would take her to a large abandoned parking lot like an old Wal-Mart and let her ride around to get the feel for the controls. Just a couple of hours of practice will go a long way to feeling comfortable on the bike. That seemed to be a big hurdle for the folks who had not previously ridden when I took my MSF class.

my girl rode on the back of the goldwing only bike she had ever been on until i got the KZ on the road. she now wants me to teach her to ride. her daughter has her own bike and has rode for 8 years now with her husband riding bit*@ it's kinda funny. I kinda prefer the B**bs on my back

My wife got her M2 licence last october. I have to commend her cause it was a freezing cold rainy weekend when she did it too. She got her Honda CBR125 the week before that . I know pretty confident huh? It is a really fun bike to ride too (when she lets me)

my girlfriend just got her motorcycle license about a month ago, she took the class with my sister and the week after her dad told me to take the old 81 honda CM400 he had in the garage and fix it up for her, so a week after she gets her license she gets a free bike
she still enjoys riding more i think but driving her own is something she is enjoying more and more

Suzuki Savage 650 sits low with a narrow seat allowing shorter folks to rest both feet on the ground at stops. And it's a good, reliable, smooth riding, belt-drive cruiser style bike that gets good mileage and can keep pace with the big boys.
Am thinking the "Vulcan" is Kawasaki's lowest rider.
