No kidding! From the looks of the pics it'll be full by the time it reaches here in mid USA!

I suggested that a while ago in another thread. Somebody, soon, spend a dollar and buy a note book to send along with the flag for riders to make notes, record weather, traffic, whatever while they have the flag in their care. Not everything they think about will make it on the web. We need a log. Please, next rider buy a notebook and send it along with the flag. Riders, write as much as you want, note books are cheap. When it gets filed up, next rider buys another one.

The relay is scheduled to move from MD to CT tomorrow (May 20) and plans are in the works for finishing the east coast leg up by the end of June. Leg 2, time to get ready!

I have some T-shirts left over from the second run. I broke even on the second run but need to sell these left overs in order to have money to kick back to KZR. You can see the shirts and a list of sizes I've got left here . PM me for payment instructions.

So it looks like the east coast leg is about wrapped up, so now what?

I am currently kicking around Iowa City, IA until (?). I must return at some point to Albuquerque NM after I get new rubber and a valve adjustment for my '83 a3, I'm calling it an extended road trip/interstate job search.

So at this point my return trip could swing more southern (Missouri, OKC, TX) or more northern (NE, CO, SD etc) depending on how I'm feeling at the time. I may even head through MN and hit the Twin Cities, I dunno. We'll see I guess
I honestly don't know how fast I was going, officer; My speedo tops out at 85...

We wait to see where the second leg starts and where it goes. If it starts down south and moves north, leg 3 will go north to south. If it starts up north and goes south we switch to plan 'B'.

Some of the best riding in Wisconsin is the SW corner of the state, not far from Iowa City. Just scoot up Hwy 151, about 2 hrs. cross the Big Muddy and enjoy the great twisties. Actually, anywhere along the Mississippi should be good. I kinda like our side though.
I'll be heading to NM in August. The route is unplanned. I may be carrying the flag somewhere, who knows? Final destination is Las Vegas, 65 miles east of Santa Fe. We'll get together somehow. You are the planned kick-off for the Western leg, don't get lost!

Here's the twisted route the flag took from Leesburg, VA to New Jersey passing through WV, PA, MD, and DE on the way. It would be interesting to see the flag's entire route depicted starting in Florida as the flag travels around. Ed
