I thought we had some riders in Canada that wanted to wide with it also. After we figure out that the flag is officially done travelling I suggest that we open a time frame to nominate some folks for the flag then have a time frame to cast a ballet for one of the nominees. The rider with the most votes wins. If there is a tie we can recast a tie breaker. Just my .02. If we go this direction I would like to see a thread started for it.

I'm certain Forrest Still haves the Flag. He did say he could get some closeups of both sides of the Flag and post them, but I haven't seen them yet.
It was great doing the relay and the rally. It would be great if another similar relay or rally would take place.
Maybe there could be some renewed interest in it all at some point. Seems as though the last year and a half of the relay, the interest faded off a lot. Still many members got involved and meet some fellow KZRiders. The Whole point right?
By the way, what was the Total # for Flag Carriers? In the 60's?

I will take pics of both sides of The KZ Rider North American Relay Flag soon.

As far as who deserves to have this Relay Flag. I do not know. I know this, the KZ Riders who carried The Relay Flag on their KZ or vintage Kawasakis deserved it at that moment in time. That is what is important, living with The Flag in that moment.

I am not going to hang onto it much longer. If there is too much debate on who deserves or who should possess this Flag, I know exactly where I am sending it.

I'm in the Southern California desert. If ther's someone in Northern California border to Fresno Central California to LA to AZ border, I'm in. I was at the Palm Springs Bike weekend last month. Only vintage Z1 or anything there. Was dissapointed.

I just got my KZ this past spring, and while I did do a piece of riding this year (though not nearly as much as I wanted; do we ever?) I didn't get out in time for this relay through my state.

I have an idea that may or may not have been suggested (I haven't read the entire thread, just pages 1 and 2, and 64!): Once a particular relay flag has been made, relayed, and filled, it could be retired. It can be raffled, with the funds going to whatever the riders deem appropriate- KZR emergency fund, children's charities, downed rider support, disabled vets, or whatever- matted in a nice frame, to be hung in the raffle-winner's ride abode. If riders wish to start another relay, create another flag, whether identical or different from the last one.

Wider-area riders can make ride flags specific to their area. How about a ten-province Canada flag, or a thirty-one state Mexico flag? For the truly adventurous, how about a South America flag?

Forrest hasn't been online for about 2 months. I don't know what his intentions are, but he was the last one to hold the flag. I hope he is ok. Ed

Still alive and still riding. Yes, I have the Flag. I have been slightly distracted with a personal injury and my work these past few months. I can take a picture of both sides and post it. I still recommend the creator of The Flag, Rainman have a say in the disposition of said Flag. He and his wife created it. Just sayin.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

Hey Daryl, That niggle I had during the Rally in August turned out to be a herniated disc between C5 & C6. Therapy and such has helped. No to surgery for now.

Lawrence won't be much help in tracking me down. He is in Brazil visiting his wife's family.
