That's alright, let it stall out right where it is, and I'll be along in the Spring to pick it up. I'll be able to take a couple of weeks off after my contract then. I could ride it through Canada West of Ontario, make this an actual North American relay again, instead of just the lower 48 and Eastern Canada.
Whole lotta empty space on that map that doesn't look like it's going to get covered...

Re: KZ Relay Ride GOTO http://VintageKawasakiRelay.com
25 Sep 2013 23:52Get your bike running and go meet Schuss, otherwise it will move back south I'd say. The meet between Schuss and Toolmaker has been postponed a few times already. But they will work it out and pass the flag. Once that happens, it will be in Portland, OR. So if you can do it, then go get it. Otherwise....Killman wrote: That's alright, let it stall out right where it is, and I'll be along in the Spring to pick it up. I'll be able to take a couple of weeks off after my contract then. Our plan is to move it south this Sunday unless someone else has another idea.
I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

Looks like a big storm is expected Sunday, wind and rain. May have to rethink this.

I live on the Central Coast of California (Atascadero, between Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo). I ride HWY 1 a lot, but currently on my Ducati Monster as my KZ is a "winter project" at this point. I can handle from Monterey to Santa Barbara or anywhere in between just let me know, I would be honored to take part in this. If it happens this spring it would be on my KZ

Hello Dumont, If you are a recent addition to our KZ Rider forum then welcome! AND, if that is the case you may not be aware that the purpose/objective is to relay this special flag on either a KZ model Kawasaki or at least another vintage 20 year and older Kawasaki. You know, do these old bikes and their equally old owners still get out and ride! We certainly do not want to exclude you and actually encourage you to participate. This means riding along with another KZ or vintage Kawasaki owner on your Monster if not carrying on your own KZ. Hopefully you can carry the flag once it reaches your part of California. It may be until next spring before it hits Central Cali. Good luck on the resto! And, please do check in and keep connected here.

Yep, brand new member and now that I have read a bit more I figured out it should be on my KZ
If it is not done in time I'd love to "Ride Along" for some part of this assuming it comes down the Central Coast. It MUST, as the roads are some of the best anywhere!
BTW, I have a spare room and a garage if it were needed on the ride through. Plus we have a local group of riders that ride every week (although it is made up of mostly late model sport bikes)and we have a bike night as well.

Where is The Relay Flag Now? And, is it bedded down for the winter?
