Big ride this Friday was created by RonKZ650
I'm going to try the toughest ride I've ever attempted, weather and other factors permitting. It's called the IBA BBG3000. It is 1500 miles in 24 hours 2 days in a row, so 62.5mph average and 3000 miles in 48 hours time. Of course no use trying the second day if the first is not relatively quick. I'll give it a shot, if I don't enjoy it I'll pack it in as something I tried. I'll be leaving Denver at 2AM early Friday morning. Here is the track that will update once an hour or so throughout the ride, if anyone cares to ride along. I'll be riding a 2008 Goldwing:

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Sorry about that. Nothing comes on the map until the ride starts in 37hrs. :) Here's last years ride. When you ride it's updated live throughout. You can also zoom in, look at satalite image instead of roads, click on any green marker for the time ect. Spot makes the ride more interesting for friends to keep tabs on where you are.

Oh I see. Looks like the Freeway the whole time? Same route as last year?

Thanks guys, I'm riding 2 different routts ending at home each day. Last year was one day 1500 miles, so this will be double that. I'm not sure this works, but if so, this is day one.

I was wondering how you were going to average that kind of speed, but now i see it's going to be some open roads (at least on last year's map).

Good luck, and ride safe!

Thanks Lou, It's all interstate and about has to be for these rides. I enjoy long interstate roads much as any. Part of this ride is Green River to Salina, UT. Over 100 miles of nothing, one car every 5 miles, few semis, no services. I've driven this road 50 times at least, usually in the middle of the night. I'll see this again tomorrow morning around 6AM and looking forward to the ride.

Safe happy trails to you sir. I'd be begging at the 20 mile marker.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.
