Alcohol KZ?

I was curious, has anyone ever made a KZ1000 that ran on like... Alcohol?

The custom aluminum airbox with the cylindrical K&N filter on the 900 is downright stunning!

Hmmmm.. so it has been done. If it was doable on the 650... than hows about a 1000? Im thinking of maybe starting a long going project..

Injected has some posts about his bike on this forum (although there is more on CycleMadness), and I think he was bike of the month not that long ago (but I'm getting old and forgetful, so I could be wrong).

Well i know a guy with a 78 KZ1000 sitting in a barn. Complete bike and a good engine but it really needs some love. Im gonna try and get a job here soon at a local shop so ill have an income with like... no bills:) So i was thinking of buying it and then kind of doing a partial restore type thing (new tires, carb cleaning, go through wiring harness, new plugs, sync/ tune carbs, and maybe some paint). I think it might already run but its really not that pretty:D i kinda wanted to build a drag bike which should be easy if im gonna have a nice source of cash this summer. IF everything works out like it should, ill ride the bike for a while and make sure its alright and then maybe ill get that lockup clutch and switch to a dyna ignition and get the head ported.. stuff like that. I was watching a youtube video of a blown V8 that ran on alcohol and i though, "I wonder if i could do this on a motorcycle..". I really cant promise anything since i havent got the job yet but i may have plenty of posts for this forum this summer:) Ill let you guys know what happens.

your mileage will be about half with alcohal since it burns so much more is the main problem i see.
another issue might be where to fill up when away from home,unless you can come up with some injectors that will hold up to e85

im definately for any other kind of fuel other than gas! if you can figure out how to make it work id build my own still for making moonshine/gas

Well there are a few ideas in front of this one. Even though a bike that i could pour a bottle of Everclear into and fire up sounds EFFING AWESOME!!! i mean, this could be like a post apocalyptic for of transportation.. more valuable than a generator even i bet:D i have a 76' KH400 waiting for me here in Iowa that even has a Denco S series pipe.. Im gonna jump all over that in the next month here i think. Then i also have a 1976 KZ400S2 cafe that needs completed. NOT TO MENTION MY OWN BIKE!!! sheesh.. Anyways, ill give the guy a call tomorrow to see if he still gots the bike. If not, theres always other ones on craigslist:) Im gonna check out those links too Kraz. Thanks for the replies:D
