Buying a 1979 KZ750, what should I look for?

My hope is that I inadvertently grabbed the throttle when unloading the bike and flooded it. Then after pushing it around and wearing myself out it cleared and I was able to start it again.

I' ll pull the battery tonight and charge it. If the problem keeps coming up I'm sure I'll come back on here to look for some advice on the starter clutch.
