That's correct...no definite data on a tank swap. I get the same thing with the MKII vs ST seat. Everyone tells me it won't work but nobody has actually ever tried it. I recently found a seat for sale and the factory kawasaki sticker on it listed "A4/E2". I can't find out of this means that the seats are the same or just that the sticker was used on both seats. Lots of opinions...no facts. I see some cheap ST's for sale around here from time to tome....might have to pick one up and put this conjecture to rest once and for all.

Great thread with lots of good info.
Yes, I have not tried this, so I am 100% not sure.
I do have a nice set of side covers for a shaft bike though.
So no one has tried the swap of tanks and we still have no 100% for sure yes or no
