It looks to me like just another garage creation that isn't ridden. WHAT?? How can I dare say that?? (Answer: the fellow in the picture seemed to forget that it won't win any races without a chain)

i have found a new friend in my zx-11 many miles will we put on this summer gobs of power not detuned and yet you can ride at 60 miles an hour all day or at least until the cop thats been tring to drive up your tailight has turn and left you alone awesome bike the best i've ever owned but guess what i'm doing to night, doing 2 cylinder heads 1 for a new big block drag motor for a spare this season and another head for a cool little street fighter project that somebody half assed but now i'm finishing. i still love my z's and that won't change. but i would sell the zx in a heart beat if kawi would bring out a standard that had a zx-14 based engine that had the same power as the zx-14 instead of being detuned. i've been riding for close to 40 years and dam it i want a bike that will pucker my scrotum everytime i get on it hard.
a zx-14 based standard would rock!!! they would probably de-tune it and i could live with that...its kind of like putting the top dog motor in the gm line-up in something other than a vette...they just dont do it....that being said i really like the gpz i picked up...enough that i sold my kz.....gpz is electric smooth, handles well(way better than the kz) and puts down 120 to the wheel....i had a lot of fun on the kz and learned a lot, but i m just one of those people that got back on something more modern for a second time and decided i liked riding a lot more than wrenching .........

Hey I found the bike Yamaha copied to make that new bike above.....
[/img] ....a bike that Kawasaki did build AND import here '93 (or so) ZR1100
And no one bought that one either (yet they made ZR1100's through 2006 and we never saw them...the market is there, but just not in North America)...Kawasaki has been burned a number of times by the North American consumer (for a variety of reasons, admittedly) and they are fairly gun-shy (I am not sticking up for them, BTW, I wholeheartedly agree with otakar). Until the entire North American market loses it's fascination with V-twins, we will see no change in marketing strategy. Despite that we (on this forum) all appear to really like the new retro bikes and former Kawasaki lines (KZ series, ZRX, old ZR series), we are a minority and truthfully, how many of us would actually buy one, if given a chance? Truth be told, if I had a bag of money and a choice between restoring my Z2A or buying a new retro bike, I'd restore the Z2A every time.

The Zephyr stiling was very nice but for 1991 it was still pretty "modern" looking.
