Proud new owner of a 78 KZ 650B

well, you guys were right...it gets in your blood!
i found this bike for $300 in craigslist today, about 20 minutes from my house...

i think i got a great deal!. 10,169 miles...all stock, never molested. but it sat outside for 2 years...

anyway, just got it home, it had no spark...fixed that, turns out i need new spark plug wires and caps...a little cleaning, and its good to go.

NO rust in the gas tank...and a clean title.

Great score man. Are you sure its a B model? The B's had wire wheels and a single disk up front, that might be a C model

It probably is...i messed up..still a good find though..I would rather have spokes i think for the look im going for.

I did a frame swap a few months back and My bike had been in the weather for years too. Check out the thread for before and after. Its amazing what "alot" of elbow grease can do.

Should be a '79 C3 model, going by the paint & Kawasaki logos, drilled rotors & style of rear caliper, and two bolt rubber mounted foot pegs.

cool, the neck sticker says 78...and the exhaust says 650b..but thats questionable...

Got it running today, i cleaned the carbs out and buttoned everything up and the thing fired right up like it was a new bike....smoked a little for a while but it passed...i am amazed of how great this bike runr. its a first kick starter!
