I've built a couple choppers (kz650, cb750SOHC, evo sportster) and while each build took a life of its own, I realized that a beautiful bike isn't always the one you wanna ride all the time. If you're willing to sacrifice comfort for style, then you must realize that you can't blow around corners or stop very fast.
My newest build (kz650) started as a short rigid chop and does sacrifice comfort for style, but at the same time, performance and reliabilty were key factors dictating the pace. My next build will be going in a totally dfferent direction using the best of all areas in motorcycling. It may not be the prettiest, but for I want it to do, it will do. Plus I built myself. I think a build should suit your own tastes, riding style, and intended purpose of the bike.
