The kicker is.....
I have nearly every thing I need to complete and EFI/Turbo conversion on this motor!
Im using a setup off a 700 Raptor. This throttle body has all the major components all attached together, and it willpretty much slipright into a stock rubber carb mount! (after I build a super simple 2 into 1 intake manifold! I will cut the bottom of the frisco sporty tank and weldin the fuel pump out of a small sportbike of somesort, and run the whole thing with Microsquirt. I ahve a very small garrett turbo off of a diesel turbo Isuzu Trooper that will spool this monster up very nicely!
I kind of like this site, and if you guys will toler ate another Kawi guy that is also a chopper guy, I wouldnt mind sharing some projects with you!

i got an 82 KZ550 two weeks ago for 700 euros...just put 200 euros worth of michelins on it and am ready for the road first thing tomorrow as my new helmet has just arrived off ebay!
back in the 80's i ran a Z650SR which i hard-tailed and which gave me saddle sores on the country roads of Ireland.
this new project will be keeping it's swinging arm and shox but will be getting the treatment as soon as i get a plan together.
does anyone know of shox from another bike that fit straight on to the 550 that will lower the backend? i read somewhere that suzi ls650 savage shox will do the trick?
if the pic uploads it shows the bike in the back of my van the day i picked it up at the other end of Ieland.
Thanx...keep ridin.
steve.
