Just and idea on the printing, look at Architectural or Geotechnical consulting firms. Most should have 36" color plotters (big printer) that run off of a roll of paper for printing construction plans. That is if you are having difficulty finding a printer to fit your needs. :cheer:

Waht I dont get is Kinko's and the print shops will do it, but they want 7+ bucks a square foot!! That like 85 bucks to print ONE! That just stupid.....

I was in one place the other day that said she was considerably less then that at like less then a dollar a square foot to print.... I need to stop and confirm that.

Now that I have the digitizing planned,i need to get the printing planned.

Do you guys think 30 shipped for one is a decent price?

Sounds reasonable for a large, high quality glossy print. I assume it would be shipped in a cardboard roll or similar.

I'd be Ok with $30. If you ship to Canada, when you fill out the form, designate it as a "gift". Then we won't have to pay duty. And ship it by US Postal Service surface. It takes a while longer but we won't get nailed for brokerage fees either. Life's a bitch here in the Great White North.

Ok guys! Got my camera in the mail today!
I have to play around with it a little bit. I bought a photoshop to process the image, and clean up the edges to be able to print borderless. I talked to the printers, and we went over some paper, and he suggested this fairly heavy glossy paper, that the black and white would look great on it, and it will be pretty durable. Its about like a 3x5 index card and glossy on one side. This weekend, Ill get the poster out, and get some lighting set up, and my tripod, and see what kind of quality we can get!!

Thanks guys!
