What should it run in the 1/4 mile

I recently inherited my dads z1 drag bike. We were planning on getting it running this summer after a couple of years. I know we never had it geared right, and were still working on tuning it.

My question is: what should the bike run in the 1/4 mile approx.

Specs:
z1 900
cams
stock bore size-not sure if compression is stock or not
mr. turbo: i believe it was around 15 lbs of boost
air shift
msd/dyna electronics and shift light
1 piece fiberglass body, custom frame
wheelie bars

also, does anybody have any reccomendations on gearing that i should use?

depends on what size carbs and cams you have. i see you still have the heavy front end and wheel. my guess would be somewhere in the 10s

Might be a tad squirrely with the stock rake and front end.

Also would need to know if any gear ratios where changed and what the sprockt teeth counts are....

I've seen similar bikes run mid 9's.I'm with Terry and would rake that front end before trying to go fast.The guys I know that run turbo's used small rear sprockets ( 34t)- someone way more knowledgeable about turbo gearing will chime in. BTW, welded crank ?

Yes, it has a welded crank. Im not sure what it has for cams or carbs, its at my moms house at the moment, im just going off memory. I know it has a steering stabilizer on the right side.

I know the gear ratios have been changed, he only ran it a couple times since adding the turbo. I know he messad around with the gearing, but im pretty sure the ratio is still way high.

There's no way to even guess what it might run without all the cam/carb/gearing ect. information.

Yup! Came out of a '95 vette.. has a spun bearing i believe

im thinking its only got one carb guys ,but i could be wrong! :laugh: the times are going to depend a lot on whos riding it,im gonna make fearless forcast of mid-low 10s depending on how it hooks up and how straight it runs
