Better check your charging system, Rudy. With the bike doing about 3,000 rpm, you should see around 14 volts at the battery.

I think the same part goes into the KZ1000s. There's a place here in Canoga Park called Hollywood Motors (not sure why it's not in Hollywood). They refurb and sell lots of Cop 1000s, and I'm hoping they'll sell (or even give) me a used part. I've been WAY too lazy getting the bike fixed. When it broke last summer Grant and Alex helped me wire the clutch cable barrel to the broken release mechanism. Grant warned me that it was only guaranteed for "40 pulls". I got used to riding around town without the clutch, and when I finally got around to digging into the bike, it took me about an hour to get the wire off. I think it would have lasted for a year the way we had it wrapped up with wire.
