Southern Cal Breakfast get-together?

I really wish I could go, but life (and a pathetically empty wallet) has gotten in the way of me even logging in here as often as I once did.

Hopefully I'll have every thing under control by the time the next So Cal breakfast ride is planned.

Once I get the pic sized smaller, I'll post up what the "cheater slick" I'm running on the front of my Kat looks like.

176 Miles on the '77 Kawi today, aside from a problem speedo cable, dragging on the freeway at who knows what speed, Rudy's bike needing to be towed, and Mark getting pulled over by LA's finest, I'd say it was a pretty good day. Eight of us terrorized the Hollywood iHop and then rode to the Rock Store in Malibu Canyon

Yeah we had a good time, poor Rudy. The rest of the ride was good. I got a warning, no tiki. They told me "your to old to ride like that", karma's on my side.

Yea, still a good ride though. Met up with Mark and Joe at Rudy's house and headed off to breakfast on Sunset Blvd in Hollyweird. Met up with everyone else and had a good meal and conversation. Took Sunset (through Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brent Wood) to the PCH and then up into the hills. Once we cleared the cages we were zipping pretty good. Had to go back to help with Rudys bike, worked on it for about an hour but to no avail. He called AAA and we waited with him. I left at 2:30 to get home by 4:30 to get to work at 5:00. Yea right! F**king 101 and 60 were pretty much a 25mph parking lot! Did a lot of lane splitting (along with some butt puckering with LA drivers!) Didn't get home till 6:00pm! I hate LA freeways! :woohoo: But other than MY personal problems :laugh: it was great to meet up with the guys. We need to do it again but on a Sunday when you have a better chance of less traffic. :blink:

Well guys put the battery on the charger last night and this morning started right up.
but I am going to put the bat from the ZX in the KZ and make shure the fluids in the bat are good.
And I cant wait for the next one..

I had a great time seeing everyone again. Alex, my son came along riding the KZ750 and seemed to fit into the group well. We had a fun time riding along Sunset boulevard revving the bikes at traffic lights and getting a lot of attention from the touristas. I will try to set up another get-together sometime in May. Best wishes all.

Sorry to have missed this one, too. My busy season now. Look forward to seeing some of you in April at Willow for the Classic races.

Sorry I missed the ride after breaky... I put about a cup of water in my radiator at the IHOP, and the bike ran just fine all the way back to Quartz Hill. I checked for leaks when I got home, and not a drop from the coolant system. Don't know why it was leaking on this trip, maybe a hose clamp that's a little loose? I'll pull the lower cowling and try to find it. But it probably won't leak again until our next get-together... MURPHY.
