My thoughts. The Wrenchmonkees definantly put form before function. I do like the look of the stripped bike, and I particularly like the wrapped header look. They got the style of the cafe racer/Rocker look down.

However, if we want to embrace the Rocker mystique, then we need to consider the function of the bike first. Remember the cafe racers were trying to get their 650 twins to do the "ton" (100mph), so its about performance.

Personally, I give more credit to guys like OMR who monoshock their bikes. These guys took the easy way out by welding the twin shocks to the modern swingarm. I don't see any frame bracing goin on there. I think that these bikes are engineered to look good in front of the pub.


BTW I Hate, Hate, Hate the fat front tire look.
