Sorry, but I can't get into the idea of sitting on a 2x4. Those seats would make riding a test of mind over matter. It's obvious that the builders don't really ride bikes much other than short hops. Ed
I'm with you Ed! Looks like style is way more important than utility.
Wonder which would gripe the most, your keyster or your wrists?
Actually the bars on this Kaw
look decent but the seat seems a bit thin.

That's what I thought until I made my own. With the stock seat, it was way too soft and it would bottom out. I was sore after an hour or so. With the right type of kneeling pad, I can now ride for about 3 to 4 hours at a time, and up to about 8 hours a day. Some of the kneeling pads are indeed too stiff, and some are too soft. The key is to get the right one.
Another trick is to make sure the seat is wide enough. By using a standard pan, the seat is wider when it uses a thinner pad. This actually helps because the seat will support a much larger area. This reduces pressure on small spots which would get sore.
