i know i posted non u.s model pics.. but the original quest was for 81/82 kz1000 standard type bikes....where as any thing else imo is either a ltd or gpz......the 81 was just a ..kz1000.....in the adds and on the side emblems too...and to me was a whole different bag of rocks to the other models sharing that engines basic design....proof came in the fact that it was the platform for a whole new kawasaki superbike ....then the waters got muddied and it became the cop bikes, gpz's,csr 's and ltd's....to me the 81 kz1000 is like the first son from a newer marriage , of the 73 z1 and to the first muzzy bikes the lines are simple and it shares the ujm ethics of from this you make what you feel is right, further more it re-established kawasaki as the maker of the street kings and style owner...it made the gs lines acheivments look awkward..and did it with a 2 valve chamber and bare bones bad ass proven components..it did not use six cylinders or extra cc's or tscc combustion, and it was above all else ,simple,it was....a kz1000.....

I'm not sure if this is one but I think so. I called the dealer who had it listed on CycleTrader a couple of years ago and missed it by hours.

OK, I guess it's an M, not a J.

Funny you ask Jack.

My buddies ELR is built on the exact same bike and colour. I'll see if I can get him to dig for some pics of it before the ELR build
