Anyone got pics of KZ1000J? Dont really come across too many here. Was it not that popular of a bike compared to the LTD or the 900?

the reason u dont see too many is that they only made them for 1981, 82. then the changed to the GPZ.

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

and my stalled project...lacks...key's...got a few solutions available,and a starter motor.....oh...and i got no clue where anything goes yet...i could put a 900 togehter from boxes in 45 minutes ,just about....never ever took one of these apart...it's half done....peace

All those pictures except the brochure picture towards the top are European models. We didn't have the KZ1000J with the GPZ1100 style tank in the USA. My dad had a new 81 KZ1000J and it was fast vs, the old model, but reliability stunk. That's probably the reason not many of them around. Few survived the teething period.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
