Anybody like MOTO Guzzi V11 Sport

Saw this baby for sale on Ebay so had to buy it!
Fancied a large V twin just for a change but at 59 I didn't feel that I was quite ready for a Harley. I had a Ducati 748 a while ago but not my riding position, too much neck and wrist ache for me. This seemed like an in between option, collecting it from London tomorrow. Lots of watchers on this one but the bidding was non existent so picked it up for 2,300 pounds.
The way I figure it is that if I pay my taxes on time & as Lloyds Bank is now mainly owned by the UK government I can just borrow my tax money back!!!
Anyway if I find it isn't for me I will just sell it in the Spring.

Actually, I have been considering one...don't think it'll come to pass, though...I am more likely to end up with a 650R...comes down to money, I guess, but I sure like the looks of the Motoguzzi's

Looks like you got a great deal tommo. I always fancied Guzzies. A long time ago in a far away place a friend of mine had a Guzzi Californian which lusted after. If I ever went for a V twin it would be Guzzi.

Yes the Griso is my choice too but all Guzzi's are interesting.I had a Silverwing that was a mule. A dependable, slow, surefooted mule. Loved it for what it was but always said that engine should be bigger. Guzzi's look solid, sexy and sound incredible. $$$ In a heartbeat.

I had a friend that had a 70's Guzzi, He would ride that and leave his 56 panhead in the garage. Man that panhead was beautiful but would whip your ass riding it. The Guzzi was a comfortable ride even back then.

My brother has a 1999 California and a 2000 Jackal. Both beautiful bikes but just a little too close to a cruiser for me. I thought you guys might appreciate the Jackal.

Love the Jackal. Seriously thought about one a few years ago.
Whatever happened to the Le Mans ? Back in the day (70s) there were only really 2 models - the Califirnian and the Le Mans. I remember the Californian in a Dirty Harry Movie. A cop bike. Did a bad cop ride one off an aircraft carrier in the movie ? $64,000 question.

Nothing modern, but I'd love to own a late 70's LeMans.

And, no, the bike ridden off the aircraft carrier was some sort of single cylinder dirt bike made to look like a 'Guzzi.

Much the same way the "stunt" bike version of the KZ-P featured in the Terminator movies is a single pot Honda tarted up to look like a copcycle.

I think the Guzzi transformed into a Triumph in mid air
