latest craigslist purchase

Found a 76 kz 900, made arrangements to look at the bike that day after guy gets home from work,couldn't believe my eyes when i saw it. guy said he had 25-30 people call on the bike and i was the 1st to look at it, i bought it,took it home and cleaned up the dirt and muck off the bike and this is what was under all the dirt, not bad for 425.00 purchase

if you go the restoration route i have the air box 90% and boots..off my same bike...i am just saving em for someone restoring...yours for the asking....p.m for em if ya want em

not quite sure what route i will be going with this bike yet. i have the airbox, but no boots for the carbs, will probably clean it up some more,go through carbs and repair/replace front brake master cylinder before riding it. the plastic master cylinder housing is cloudy and leaks a little because paint is lifting up around that area. have another kz that i bought earlier this year,kind of a rat bike but want to make it into sort of an elr replica /clone

no, it was in the madison wisconsin craigslist, the guy had just listed it when i came across the ad, it was about 5 in the morning, i called him right away and we set up a time to look at it that night when he got home from work, I guess there is some truth to the old saying that the early bird always gets the worm. when i got there he said he had about 25 people call about the bike. He asked me why so many people would want a bike like that so bad. I told him that most people who buy bikes on the cheap will part them out and sell the parts on ebay.this one is not headed for the flea bay market

Hope you feel just a bit guilty for robbing the guy, did you ask him if had the original headers and muflers that he could throw in as part of the deal?
