I had a CZ. It had a rear sprocket as large as a Large pizza. Roy

a friend had one of the orange r-5's or rd350....it looks so cool and he would smoke around in traffic...i was sure i was gonna have fun when my turn to ride it came......what a let down...a cb450t was a real bike compared to that thing....it was like a big vespa imo......

Mine was the bike that kept trying to kill me... A 1993 GSXR1100. She'd been worked a bit before I got her, head was ported mildly and had a V&H SS2 (IIRC) track pipe on her. I had the head polished and ported a bit more, titanium valves with heavy duty springs, and carbs worked over. She came out of the shop on New Year's Eve, and since I couldn't find a truck to bring her home I geared up for about a 15 minute ride in 17* F weather. Turning the first corner I was reminded about stupid powerful bikes and cold pavement/tires when I almost put her over. I rode that bike for almost 2 years before selling her, and in that time I had the throttle cables stick wide open and rocket me through a red light, had the petcock crap out at just the wrong time (pulling a 90 mph sharp curve), and lost all electrical pulling over 130 on a straight away. Finally got to the point where I wanted her gone and sold her for more than I paid (including shop fees), so it wasn't a bad deal. Still miss the retarded power sometimes though!!!

Worst... hmm... tough call - several strong candidates...

1986 XV1100 Virago - uninspiring ride, pain in the butt to work on.

Followed by several Hondas... worst of which was a CB250 from the early 70's.

Honda 360 that was in the trash on the side of the road in about 20 piles. Should have left it there.

1968 H-D XLCH 900cc sportster, what a giant p.o.s. never ran right, pushed it halfway home after picking it up from the shop after spending over $600 in repairs...

My Buell XB9s Lightning was the worst bike I ever owned for nearly killing myself.
Fantastic bike but and great handling but made me ride very recklessly thinking I could & should overtake anything that was in my way.
THE RED MIST CAME DOWN and I was raring to go. It had to go!!!

yeah yeah...a guy sold me a vision 550 yami for 100.00 20 years ago..water cooled 5 valve v twin?, v four? shaft uni shock turd puncher????? i think...anyway it was siezed prob and i took it off his trash pile and moved it to mine for 100.00..nice guy aye....never did anything with it and walked by it everyday for about 6 months,and left it sitting on the side of the house when i moved......i have a feeling it aint running today either....Locozuna wrote:
