Comic books used to sell all kinds of neat stuff like 7ft Frankensteins and Nuke submarines. They also had a BB Gatling gun. Turn the crank and send a spray of BB's into your enemy! Always wanted one. Riding in the rain is like being the enemy. Take that same senario and change the BB gun into a minigun and you have what it's like in hail.

just use cooman sense if your riding in traffic keep pace so some jackass doesn't run you over if your having troubles get off the road until it eases up don't get run over. also remember to give yourself more room to slow down or stop and keep looking far ahead so you don't get caught in something and yes i'll say it again rain sucks.

Dirt bike riding in the rain... sure, actually fun...

On the road, hell no for there's enough B.S. to deal with such as ppl on their cell phones not paying attention to a cycle, road debris, animals (coyotes here in AZ) you name it....

So riding in the rain... nope just not worth it if you can avoid...

I live about as far northwest in the lower 48 as you can get. Rainy Ass Bellingham Washington. it rains 300 days out of a year here haha, and my bike being my only transportation ive riddin in the rain several times....

I would like to suggest wearing a full face first of all
maybe some long underwear under your jeans if its cold.
(or waterproof motorcycle pants if you can get some)

A good leather jacket always keeps ya warm and dry
and gloves.

Crusing down the road is easy in the rain, just avoid parts of the road where the water puddles. ride in the center.

And when cornering in the rain just take it slow until you really get the feel of your bike, dont slam on the breaks! especially the rear, use 70% front and 30% rear. but slow gradual stops when its wet!

After a few months of riding your bike youll get the feel of it and it will be easy, But if your unsure about anything dont risk it man.

Be safe, dont do no fat wet burnouts at a stoplight in mid day traffic.....;) ;) if you do, make sure there isnt any cops around!

I really don't mind riding in the rain. Whenever I clean my helmet I always make sure to rain-x the shield, so you don't have to worry about wiping it all the time. Sometimes I carry a little rain suite with me, but usually I just put up with getting wet. Corning isn't bad, just take it a little slower and you'll do fine, Do NOT accelerate quickly, you get pretty squirly, it can be fun, but scary too. Just watch out for big puddles and give your self extra stopping distance.
