So the bike did great tonight but I didn't do so well... Couldn't get my launches right... My fastest time was 13.01 @ 102.5mph... With more practice I am determined to get 12.8...
A 12.8 on a stock bike is moving pretty good! The word "determined" means, the hook is in your mouth. Good luck and be safe.
PS- What is your gear ratio?

dropping the gearing on a stock bike will for sure pay dividends....
when you get your time slip look at your 60' time...thats you....the rest is the bike...more or less....with practice you should be able to get that into the 1.7 range pretty easily...
pro street riders with a multi stage lock up are in the mid to low 1.2's
pro riders on a streetbike hand clutching are regularly in the 1.5's and better sometimes...
myu first ones were 2.something....so don't be discouraged....practice and seat time...will get you where you want to be....
and you will learn tricks along the way...ie. gearing, lowering, maybe an airshifter...ect ect.
sounds like you had fun....

Nope, was racing my own junk that weekend. Actually that win at Norwalk was not his first in TF..they won at Sanair on the old Ron Webb bike, now owned by the Parkers in Australia. The Dryden/Pollard team won Norwalk in 2005 on the bike that Korry Hogan rides now but split up later that year. The bike in the pics above is new, debuted at Norwalk in 2008.

Yeah my fastest 60ft. was like 2.08. I should've waited a little longer to go, because I have only been riding for a month... But I'll be more prepared next time.
Thanks guys for all the advice and encouragement! I'll be sure to post again when I'm in the 12s
