cool, I will do my best to keep the threads good so I can put new nuts on. THanks
Would allow the PBBlaster to work overnight or longer, if feasible.
Haven't lived until enjoyed removing remains of an exhaust stud snapped off inside the head.
Following the PBBlaster treatment, would expect the nuts to come off rather easily, and the studs to remain perfectly serviceable.
Good Luck!

thanks! and as far as the VHT coating on the pipes? I would use the clear stuff to let the chrome shine through a bit.
Could be wrong, but thinking the clear VHT won't withstand exhaust header heat, and probably just make a mess when it blisters off.
The best protectant for exhaust header chrome may be a quality body paint finish product such as a good wax or silicone based treatment. Applied to cold pipes. Same for chrome muffler cannister.
It the chrome is beyond recovery, would consider lightly wet sanding, myratic acid rinse followed by fresh water flush, and rattle can VHT flat black paint. Which will endure pretty well, looks spiffy imo, and is easy to touch up.
That's what I did several years ago on this 20+ year old Kerker system. Just using wax on the still new looking cannister.
Good Luck!
